The Role:
We're looking for an experienced, detail-focused Bookkeeper based in the Philippines to join our growing remote team. You'll be working on Australian clients and supporting the accounting team with end-to-end bookkeeping.
This is a role for someone who knows the ropes of Australian bookkeeping and is confident working independently but who's also happy to collaborate and grow with the team.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Full-cycle bookkeeping using Xero (and occasionally MYOB or QuickBooks)
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Data entry from bank feeds, source documents, and client uploads
- Accounts payable and receivable
- IAS and BAS preparation (reviewed and lodged by a senior accountant)
- Journal entries and end-of-month adjustments
- Assisting with payroll and STP filings
- Supporting software migration from MYOB to Xero
- Contributing to improved workflows and documentation
- General admin support and ad hoc reconciliations
What We're Looking For:
- At least 2 years of experience in an Australian public practice
- Strong knowledge of Australian bookkeeping standards, BAS/IAS, and payroll
- Confident with Xero (MYOB and QuickBooks knowledge is a bonus)
- High attention to detail and ability to self-manage
- Clear, friendly communication skills written and spoken
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Comfortable working remotely and handling multiple client files
