The Opportunity
We're looking for a Senior Accountant / Client Manager who's ready to step up and own client relationships, not just process the numbers behind them. You'll take the lead on a portfolio of clients across a range of industries, acting as their trusted advisor while mentoring junior team members and helping shape how we deliver our services. This is a role for someone who wants more autonomy, more client contact, and a clear runway toward leadership.

- Reviewing and finalising annual financial statements for companies and trusts
- Overseeing preparation and review of income tax returns and Business Activity Statements
- Providing strategic tax planning advice and identifying opportunities for clients
- Leading ATO correspondence and resolving more complex client queries
- Mentoring and reviewing the work of junior and intermediate accountants
- Staying ahead of tax law changes and translating them into practical advice for clients
- Working closely with the partners on client strategy, business advisory matters and firm improvement initiatives
- Identifying opportunities to grow client accounts and strengthen relationships
- Driving improvements to accounting processes and systems across the team
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in Australian public accounting, with strong exposure to tax and financial statement preparation
- Proven experience managing client relationships and confidently leading client conversations
- CA/CPA qualified (or close to completion)
- Proficiency in Xero (essential), with experience in MYOB or QuickBooks highly regarded
- Strong technical grounding in accounting principles and tax regulations
- A natural mentor who enjoys developing junior team members
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
- Drive and ambition to grow the client base and progress within the firm
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines without missing a beat
