About the job Legal Officer
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Tasks
- Legal Support: Provide legal advice on commercial, contractual, and business matters, including negotiations, transactions, and compliance.
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements in Thai and English, ensuring legal compliance and minimizing risks. Handle the complete contract management process, including stamp duty and endorsement at the Revenue Department.
- Document Preparation & Review: Prepare and review legal documents, contracts, and government forms, ensuring they align with regulatory requirements. Follow up with customers legal teams to ensure timely sign-offs.
- Compliance Monitoring: Track and maintain company contracts, legal provisions, and regulations, ensuring timely compliance and updates. Assist with legal filings and the consolidation of legal documents.
- Dispute Resolution: Assist business units in resolving contractual disputes and managing commercial legal issues. Coordinate with legal firms to handle arbitration and civil litigation as needed.
- Advisory Role: Offer legal advice across multiple domains, such as general commercial law, personal data protection, labour law, and intellectual property law.
- Compliance & Governance: Advice on data protection laws, digital platform regulations, and other compliance matters. Support corporate governance tasks, including board and shareholder meetings, as well as corporate filings.
- Mergers & Acquisitions: Assist in M&A and joint venture transactions by preparing and reviewing related agreements and legal documents.
- Administrative Support: Keep legal files and documents well-organized, provide administrative assistance to other related functions, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Team Support: Support Senior Legal Officer tasks as assigned.
Admin Tasks
- Overseeing the office's daily management and general maintenance to ensure efficient operations of the workplace.
- Performing a variety of general administrative and document tasks.
Qualifications:
- A law degree (LL.B. or equivalent).
- Proficiency in both Thai and English (written and spoken).
- A good understanding of commercial law, corporate governance, IP law, labour law, and personal data protection.
- 1-2 years of legal experience, preferably in corporate or commercial law.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
