Costing Engineer - Manufacturing

Job Overview
We are looking for a Costing Engineer to support quotation and pricing activities in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for analyzing cost breakdowns, benchmarking against market prices, and ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining healthy profit margins to win new business.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze detailed costing sheets during RFQ process.
• Identify cost elements that are not competitive compared to market benchmarks or previous projects.
• Understand and validate costing assumptions.
• Lead cost review discussions to optimize pricing.
• Propose adjustments in materials, margin, MOQ, investment, or other cost drivers to meet customer target prices.
• Compare RFQ costing vs actual production costing when required.
• Benchmark costs across sites and competitors.
• Prepare clear reports and highlight costing risks to management.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years experience in costing, pricing, or RFQ within manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of cable, PVC, terminals, connectors or similar products is preferred.
• Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas and cost analysis).
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
