The Chief Operating Officer (COO) - Manufacturing is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's manufacturing operations. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in driving operational excellence, improving efficiency, and delivering high-quality products. The COO will be responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing strategies, optimizing production processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
- Oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Manage manufacturing budgets and resources effectively.
- Lead and develop a high-performance manufacturing team.
- Identify and implement new technologies and processes to improve productivity.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as R&D, sales, and marketing, to ensure alignment and support business goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the FMCG industry.
- Proven track record in leading and managing large-scale manufacturing operations.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of manufacturing costs.
- Experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in the food and beverage industry.
- Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics.
- Proficiency in manufacturing ERP systems.
