We are seeking an experienced Head of Procurement to lead and manage the procurement function across the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all purchasing activities, supplier management, contract negotiations, and ensuring that procurement strategies align with business objectives. A key focus of this role will be handling international procurement, including the import and export of goods, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and optimizing supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining high quality and efficiency.
- Lead and manage the procurement team, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Oversee all procurement activities, including sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier management for both local and international purchases.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including import and export laws, tariffs, and documentation requirements.
- Work closely with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely and efficient movement of goods across borders.
- Manage supplier relationships, including evaluating performance, resolving issues, and negotiating favorable terms.
- Monitor market trends and evaluate potential risks to procurement activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of procurement strategies with overall business objectives.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement processes and continuously seek opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior procurement role, with a strong focus on import and export operations.
- In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations and customs processes.
- Strong negotiation skills with experience in supplier management and contract negotiation.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in procurement and supply chain management software.
- Fluent in English, with strong communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in food and beverage, manufacturing, or FMCG industries.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and procurement automation tools.
- Certification in supply chain management or procurement (e.g., CIPS, CSCP) is a plus.
