About the job Senior Business Development / Sales
Responsibilities:
- Lead the sales team in generating leads and closing deals within the renewable energy industry.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand the company's market presence and achieve revenue goals.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships and large-scale projects.
- Coach, mentor, and train junior sales staff to improve performance and achieve targets.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to optimize strategies and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and finance departments to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry stakeholders, and partners.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes, technological advancements, and competitor activities in the solar energy sector.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on sales performance, forecasts, and market insights.
Requirements:
- Significant experience minimum 2 years in B2B sales, with a proven track record of success in the renewable energy industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
- Excellent communication, hunter & negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a focus on achieving business objectives.
- In-depth knowledge of solar energy systems, products, and services.
- Proficiency in CRM software, sales analytics tools, and other relevant technology platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and industry influencers.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
