About the job RIG Superintendent
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in drilling operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
3. Possess valid certifications, including IWCF Well Control and relevant safety certifications.
4. In-depth knowledge of drilling techniques, equipment, and industry best practices.
5. Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage drilling crews and coordinate with other departments.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all drilling activities to ensure they comply with safety and environmental standards.
2. Manage the daily operations of drilling rigs, including rig mobilization, demobilization, and rig movements.
3. Collaborate with drilling engineers to optimize drilling processes and troubleshoot operational challenges.
4. Conduct regular safety meetings and drills to promote a culture of safety among rig personnel.
5. Monitor drilling parameters, wellbore conditions, and equipment performance to ensure efficient and effective operations.
6. Coordinate with logistics and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of drilling materials and equipment.
7. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to drilling operations.
8. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to rig crews to enhance their skills and performance.
9. Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly drilling reports to management.
10. Collaborate with the HSE department to investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
