Job Summary:
The Sales Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing a team of direct sales representatives, driving sales growth, and ensuring the successful implementation of sales strategies within the retail sector. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of sales processes, and the ability to build and nurture client relationships while meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development:
- Supervise and guide a team of direct sales representatives to achieve sales goals.
- Conduct regular training, coaching, and performance reviews to foster professional development and improve team performance.
- Organize and lead sales meetings to assess progress, share insights, and address challenges.
Sales Strategy Execution:
- Implement sales strategies aligned with organizational goals to expand financial product penetration in the retail sector.
- Set clear sales targets, track progress, and drive the team toward achieving objectives.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, identifying opportunities to refine sales approaches.
Retailer Engagement & Support:
- Support the team in building strong relationships with retail partners and clients.
- Ensure high-quality presentations, negotiations, and onboarding processes for new retailers.
- Assist in resolving client concerns, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track and analyze individual and team sales performance against targets.
- Prepare detailed reports and insights for senior management, offering recommendations for improvement.
- Use performance data to provide constructive feedback and actionable improvement plans for team members.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as marketing and product development to align sales efforts.
- Relay feedback from retailers and the sales team to enhance product offerings and sales tools.
- Ensure seamless communication and collaboration between team members and internal departments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in sales, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive consistent sales performance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Analytical mindset with a results-oriented approach.
- Familiarity with financial products and experience in the retail industry is a plus.
