About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to lead the commercial growth of a prominent player in the B2B specialty chemical industry. This role requires a leader with a unique blend of B2B acumen and a consumer-centric approach, capable of driving substantial market expansion and revenue growth. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of developing and executing successful commercial strategies, building strong customer relationships, and leading high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies aligned with the overall business objectives.
    • Provide strategic guidance on market expansion, product portfolio development, and customer acquisition.
    • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, including potential partnerships and acquisitions.
  • Business Development & Sales:
    • Drive significant revenue growth through effective business development and sales initiatives.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic partners.
    • Lead the sales team in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
    • Identify new customer segments and new market segments.
  • Market Expansion & Penetration:
    • Develop and execute strategies for expanding market share and penetrating new geographic regions.
    • Analyze market trends and competitive landscapes to identify growth opportunities.
    • Oversee the development and implementation of effective marketing and branding strategies.
  • Product Portfolio Management:
    • Collaborate with R&D and product development teams to ensure the product portfolio meets evolving customer needs.
    • Provide strategic input on product development and innovation initiatives.
    • Provide expert advice to existing customers on how to best intensify their product portfolio using our companies products.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Foster a customer-centric culture within the commercial organization.
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Utilize data and analytics to understand customer behavior and identify areas for improvement.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Build and lead a high-performing commercial team.
    • Mentor and develop team members to achieve their full potential.
    • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  • Consumer Mindset:
    • While operating in a B2B environment, maintain a consumer focused outlook, understanding the end users and the value that our products bring to their lives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven track record of success in a senior commercial leadership role within the chemical or related B2B industry. 
  • Strong understanding of the specialty chemical market and its competitive landscape.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful commercial strategies.
  • Excellent business development and sales skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Experience with international market expansion.
  • Mandarin Speaker is a plus.
