Role Overview

The Group Head – Modern Channel is responsible for leading the end-to-end modern channel strategy for the telco business, covering organized retail, national chains, and strategic partners. This role drives subscriber acquisition, device sales, and bundled offerings through modern trade channels while ensuring strong execution, partner collaboration, and alignment with overall commercial and brand objectives.

Job Description

  • Define and execute the group-level modern channel strategy in alignment with overall commercial and go-to-market objectives.
  • Lead sales performance across modern channels, including national chains, key accounts, and organized retail partners.
  • Develop strong, strategic partnerships with key modern trade accounts to drive revenue growth and market penetration.
  • Oversee channel planning, target setting, forecasting, and performance tracking across regions.
  • Drive execution excellence through effective promotion planning, merchandising, pricing, and product launches within modern channels.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, Distribution, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless execution and availability.
  • Analyze channel performance and market trends to identify growth opportunities and improve channel productivity.
  • Lead, coach, and develop regional and national modern channel teams to build a high-performing sales organization.
  • Ensure governance, compliance, and consistent execution standards across all modern channel operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree (S1) in Business, Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in sales or commercial roles, with strong exposure to modern channel / modern trade management.
  • Proven experience managing national key accounts and organized retail partners in telco, FMCG, or consumer electronics.
  • Strong understanding of telco products, device ecosystems, and bundled offerings.
  • Solid commercial and financial acumen with experience driving revenue growth and channel profitability.
  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities across multi-region teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze sales performance and market trends.
