DPA & Marine Superintendent – Tanker
Location: Jakarta Selatan

Role

  • Acts as the primary point of contact between the fleet and senior management to ensure the Safety Management System (SMS) is effectively implemented
  • Conducts internal ISM, ISPS, and MLC audits on board vessels and within the office.
  • Manage and oversee the safe and efficient operations of assigned tanker vessels on a day-to-day basis
  • Ensure full compliance with international maritime regulations, industry standards, and company policies
  • Monitor vessel performance, including voyage execution, fuel efficiency, and cost control
  • Act as the key liaison between shipboard teams and shore-based management to ensure seamless communication and operational alignment
  • Lead and coordinate vessel inspections, audits, and incident investigations, ensuring timely reporting and corrective actions
  • Support technical and maintenance planning, including dry-docking and repair activities
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, operational efficiency, and overall fleet performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, or a related discipline
  • Proven seagoing experience as a Chief Engineer or Master on tanker vessels'
  • Strong knowledge of tanker operations, maritime safety practices, and international regulations (e.g., IMO standards)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage vessel operations, troubleshoot issues, and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken
