As a Mechanical Engineer (Data Center), you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance mechanical systems that support mission-critical infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure mechanical systems are reliable, energy-efficient, and compliant with all safety and operational standards throughout the full lifecycle of data center projects.

Job Description

  • Lead and support the Project Manager across all project phasesfrom planning, design, and construction to commissioning and operations.
  • Design and review HVAC, cooling, and fire protection systems tailored for data center environments.
  • Coordinate closely with contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure system integration and project alignment.
  • Monitor and report project progress, risks, schedules, and budgets with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems to ensure reliability and operational readiness.
  • Review job safety plans for high-risk construction activities, ensuring compliance with EHS standards.
  • Lead project close-out activities, including punch list completion, documentation, and system handover to operations.
  • Manage relationships with design and construction vendors to ensure high-quality deliverables and adherence to performance requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Masters preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of total experience, and 5 years of experience in mechanical design and project execution for data centers or mission-critical facilities.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, cooling towers, and BMS systems.
  • Familiar with ASHRAE, NFPA, and relevant local building codes.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent project coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver within time, scope, and budget.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
