Business Development - Mandarin Speaker

We are seeking a Business Development professional who is fluent in Mandarin to support sourcing, import, and supplier development activities from China to Indonesia. This role will play a key part in identifying reliable suppliers, managing cross-border partnerships, and supporting business growth through strategic sourcing and commercial collaboration.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in import activities from China, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to communicate professionally in Mandarin with suppliers and partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers and business partners in China for products or raw materials.
• Handle end-to-end sourcing and import processes, including negotiation, coordination, and supplier communication.
• Conduct commercial negotiations on pricing, MOQ, lead time, and contract terms with Chinese suppliers.
• Coordinate with internal teams (procurement, logistics, finance, operations) to ensure smooth import and delivery processes.
• Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and cost efficiency to support business growth.
• Maintain strong, long-term relationships with overseas suppliers and business partners.
• Support new business opportunities related to sourcing, product development, or supply expansion.

Requirements

• Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written) for professional/business communication.
• Proven experience in sourcing and/or importing from China to Indonesia.
• Background in FMCG, F&B, raw materials, or related industries is preferred, but candidates from other industries with relevant import experience are welcome.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Good understanding of import procedures, supplier management, and cross-border trade.
• Independent, proactive, and commercially driven.
• Comfortable working with international stakeholders and multicultural environments.
