Job Summary
The Department Head HSE is responsible for leading all Health, Safety, and Environmental functions at the mining site, ensuring full compliance with regulations and promoting a strong safety culture across operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures in line with government regulations and company standards
- Ensure compliance with mining safety laws, environmental regulations, and SMKP requirements
- Lead site risk assessments, hazard identification, and mitigation planning
- Oversee environmental management programs (waste management, water monitoring, reclamation, etc.)
- Conduct routine inspections and audits to ensure safe operations
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective & preventive actions
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees and contractors
- Monitor HSE performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Prepare weekly and monthly HSE reports for management
- Coordinate with operations, engineering, and external stakeholders regarding safety matters
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience as HSE Head in mining industry
- Mandatory certifications: AMDAL, POM, K3, SMKP
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good communication skills in English
- Willing to work on roster system at site
