Job Summary

The Department Head HSE is responsible for leading all Health, Safety, and Environmental functions at the mining site, ensuring full compliance with regulations and promoting a strong safety culture across operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures in line with government regulations and company standards
  • Ensure compliance with mining safety laws, environmental regulations, and SMKP requirements
  • Lead site risk assessments, hazard identification, and mitigation planning
  • Oversee environmental management programs (waste management, water monitoring, reclamation, etc.)
  • Conduct routine inspections and audits to ensure safe operations
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective & preventive actions
  • Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees and contractors
  • Monitor HSE performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Prepare weekly and monthly HSE reports for management
  • Coordinate with operations, engineering, and external stakeholders regarding safety matters

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years experience as HSE Head in mining industry
  • Mandatory certifications: AMDAL, POM, K3, SMKP
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Willing to work on roster system at site
