Role: Demand Planning Analyst

Location: Lisbon, Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze historical sales data, market trends, seasonality, and promotional impacts to improve forecast accuracy
  • Collaborate with merchandising, supply planning, and operations teams to align demand plans with inventory and replenishment strategies
  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for food and FMCG products using advanced planning tools
  • Monitor forecast performance and adjust models to reduce forecast error and optimize service levels
  • Support the rollout of new demand planning applications and processes, including training and best practices
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in forecasting methodologies and demand planning processes

Core Competencies:

  • Planning and organization skills to manage priorities and timelines across multiple product categories
  • Strong analytical thinking skills to interpret complex data sets, identify patterns, and support data-driven decisions
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying forecast gaps and corrective actions
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to influence cross-functional teams
  • Adaptability to work effectively in a dynamic retail environment with frequent changes in demand drivers

Technical Competencies:

  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
  • Expertise in demand planning tools, preferably Relex (experience with other advanced planning systems is acceptable)
  • Experience working with ERP systems

  • Strong understanding of statistical forecasting methods, market trend analysis, and promotional planning
