Position Summary

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for coordinating/scheduling equipment maintenance by working closely with PM&R supervisors / Maintenance Engineers FE+BE / Production Specialists and Setters. Tracking PM compliance for the plant by crew and by area.

Essential Functions/Key Deliverables

  • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy work environment always striving for zero incidents by leading all safety efforts and full compliance to established government and company safety policies/mandates.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance workflow according to established production scheduled and maintenance requirements.
  • Prepare maintenance schedule and inventory reports for department leaders and plant management.
  • Create and maintain master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of maintenance work orders to ensure timely completion.
  • Analyze maintenance specifications and resource capacity data and perform calculations to determine schedules, tools and other requirements.
  • Identify and expedite materials that delay maintenance schedules and adjusts schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Prepares lists and purchase orders to obtain required materials, tools and other equipment as needed.
  • Use computers and associated software programs such as CMMS, Word, Excel, LightHouse and Ignition to plan maintenance activities and develop training documents.
  • Track metrics, performance, and efficiency of work scheduled using spreadsheets and graphs as well as documents in various formats.
  • Read and comprehend technical manuals, service manuals, diagrams, blueprints and schematics.
  • Manage predictive and preventive maintenance for all plant equipment and schedule required corrective actions using MTTR and MTBF KPIs.
  • Utilize the maintenance software to plan, schedule, print, document time, and manage work orders from inception through completion.
  • Keep accurate records as required to protect products, materials, processes, and information.
  • Audit and monitor programs and processes as needed to maintain reliability.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding PM requirements, completions, and challenges.
  • Perform any other duty reasonable corresponding with the role.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

  • Associate degree or significant experience in a related/similar field (prior Beverage Can/End or Automotive Manufacturing experience preferred)
  • 2 years of relevant experience with maintenance planning / parts/inventory management / engineering or transferable knowledge
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic equipment parts
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous SAP experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills through all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products to include: Word, Excel, Outlook
