Job Description:
Position Title: HVAC Master Ammonia/Freon Technician
Location: San Antonio, TX
Duration: Full-time
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of ammonia refrigeration on commercial low temperature cooler & freezer.
Ensure continued production operation as it relates to refrigeration equipment.
Dismantle malfunctioning system and test components using electrical mechanical and pneumatic testing equipment
Responds to emergency Calls regarding refrigeration systems.
Physical Requirements:
Physical demands with activity or condition existing a considerable amount of time include sitting, standing, bending, lifting and caring products
Ability to frequently lift or move 75 lbs. packages
Ability to work in extreme temperatures ranging from -40 to 100+ degrees
Ability to work from elevated catwalks, aerial lift platforms, ladders and scissor lift
Minimum Requirements:
Candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in the operation, repair and maintenance of refrigeration and HVAC and utility equipment/systems. (RETA Certification CARO and CIRO)
EPA refrigerant recover certification
HAZMAT training certification preferred
Must be able to work in -40 to 100+ degree temperatures
Must be able to provide own hand tools
Must have working knowledge of Process Safety Management program (PSM) relative to Ammonia Refrigeration Systems
Excellent organizational skills and strong interpersonal skills
Must pass drug screen, background (clear), MVR (clear), Pass Physical and all levels of PAT Test
Must have a valid Texas Drivers License and 5 years of driving experience
Some travel required.
