We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join the leadership team at an upbeat, fast-paced restaurant. This role is ideal for a hands-on culinary professional who thrives in a dynamic kitchen environment and is ready to step up when the Executive Chef is away.
As Sous Chef, youll play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation. You will oversee daily operations, support staff training and development, and ensure smooth execution of service.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the kitchen team and manage operations in the absence of the Executive Chef

Ensure consistency and excellence in food preparation, quality, and presentation

Assist in menu development, recipe execution, and seasonal specials

Supervise, train, and mentor line cooks and prep staff to support growth and efficiency

Oversee inventory management, ordering, and cost control measures

Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen in line with health and safety standards

Collaborate with the Executive Chef to uphold the restaurants culinary vision and guest satisfaction
Qualifications

Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, or strong Lead Line Cook ready for the next step

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team

Proven ability to handle high-volume, fast-paced service with composure

Knowledge of food safety standards and proper kitchen procedures
