Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Geotechnical Senior Project Manager with 8+ years of experience to join our team. This position focuses on geotechnical reporting, project oversight, and staff development. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in geotechnical engineering, excellent report-writing skills, and the ability to lead projects from proposal through completion.

Location: West Palm Beach, FL

Responsibilities

  • Geotechnical Reporting & Analysis Lead the preparation of geotechnical reports, including data interpretation, engineering analyses, and recommendations, to effectively communicate findings to clients and stakeholders.
  • Project Oversight Oversee and manage geotechnical investigations, ensuring work is conducted efficiently and in accordance with industry standards.
  • Proposal & Specification Preparation Prepare project proposals, cost estimates, and construction specifications related to geotechnical engineering services.
  • Quality Control & Compliance Review and ensure geotechnical designs and recommendations align with regulatory standards, codes, and best practices.
  • Client & Team Coordination Work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to provide guidance on geotechnical issues throughout project lifecycles.
  • Field Oversight While this role emphasizes reporting and oversight, occasional fieldwork may be required, including site visits, soil boring drilling observations, and test pit investigations.
  • Industry Knowledge & Continuous Improvement Stay updated with geotechnical engineering trends, codes, and regulations to enhance project outcomes and maintain technical excellence.

Requirements

Education: BS degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.

Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a strong background in geotechnical reporting, analysis, and project oversight.
  • Proven experience preparing geotechnical reports, proposals, and engineering recommendations.
  • Familiarity with field investigation methods (e.g., soil boring drilling, test pits, in-field sampling/testing).

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with expertise in interpreting geotechnical data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in technical report writing and client communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
