Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the general ledger functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial data entry.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.
  • Prepare financial statements in compliance with GAAP or IFRS, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AP/AR, to ensure seamless integration of financial data.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and filings, including tax filings.
  • Assist with audits by preparing documentation, reconciling accounts, and liaising with auditors.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights and support decision-making processes.
  • Mentor and support junior accounting staff, ensuring continuous improvement in processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in general ledger accounting, preferably in e-commerce, trading, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
