About the job Senior General Ledger Accountant
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the general ledger functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial data entry.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with GAAP or IFRS, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AP/AR, to ensure seamless integration of financial data.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and filings, including tax filings.
- Assist with audits by preparing documentation, reconciling accounts, and liaising with auditors.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights and support decision-making processes.
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff, ensuring continuous improvement in processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in general ledger accounting, preferably in e-commerce, trading, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
