About the Role
Join our client as a Technical Project Manager - EV Smart Charging and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of sustainable transportation. You will lead the deployment and integration of our client's cutting-edge Charge Management System (CMS) for some of the worlds largest transport agencies and fleet operators. Your technical expertise will ensure mission-ready reliability, seamless system integration, and exceptional customer outcomes in the rapidly evolving EV ecosystem.
Were looking for a hands-on, problem-solving engineer who thrives in complex technical environments—from configuring industrial networks and troubleshooting electrical metering systems to managing multi-vendor integrations. If youre passionate about clean energy, cutting-edge technology, and delivering projects that make a tangible impact, this is your opportunity to drive real change.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end deployment of our client's CMS, from scoping and planning through commissioning, testing, and operational handover.
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, building trust through deep industry knowledge and flawless project delivery.
Commission and troubleshoot on-site hardware—including power meters, local controllers, networking equipment (switches, routers, VLANs), and industrial CPUs.
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across electrical, network, and software layers, coordinating with OEMs and third-party vendors as needed.
Develop and manage project plans, milestones, budgets, and resources to ensure timely, within-budget delivery.
Ensure all deployments comply with electrical, safety, and regulatory standards.
Create detailed documentation, including inspection and test plans (ITPs), commissioning reports, and site handover packages.
Collaborate with Software, Product, and Customer Success teams to align deployments with product capabilities and feed field insights into roadmap development.
Support presales and bid activities with technical input, risk assessments, and delivery planning.
Provide occasional after-hours remote or on-site support for urgent customer issues.

Education: Tertiary qualification in Electrical/Electronics, Control Systems, Telecommunications, or a related engineering discipline.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust to evolving project scopes, timelines, customer needs, and emerging EV technologies. Comfortable providing occasional out-of-hours support.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder environments (customers, OEMs, installation teams, internal departments).
Background in presales, bid support, or technical proposal development.
Strong documentation skills with experience maintaining detailed records of testing, installations, and troubleshooting.
Prior exposure to EV charging infrastructure, smart grid technology, or related fields.
Ideal Candidate Profile
You are an engineer at heart with a project managers mindset. Youre equally comfortable discussing network topologies with IT teams, reviewing electrical schematics with contractors, and presenting project updates to senior client stakeholders. You thrive in dynamic settings, enjoy solving puzzles across hardware and software layers, and are motivated by delivering robust, real-world systems.
You understand that the reliability of a cloud-based CMS depends on flawless local infrastructure—and you take pride in ensuring that every deployment is resilient, integrated, and user-ready.
