Our client is seeking an experienced HR Director to lead and evolve its People function. This role is critical in building a high-performing, engaged, and values-driven workforce. You will define HR priorities, establish best-in-class HR practices, and ensure seamless alignment with the company's rapid growth. Your ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution will be key to success.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Talent Acquisition & Recruitment: Lead end-to-end hiring efforts, collaborate with hiring managers, and manage external recruitment partners.
  • Employee Relations: Foster a positive workplace culture, resolve employee concerns, and provide leadership with expert HR guidance.
  • HR Compliance: Ensure adherence to employment laws and HR best practices across multiple jurisdictions, with an initial focus on US compliance.
  • HR Operations & Automation: Implement and optimize HR systems, streamline processes, and leverage technology for efficiency.
  • Culture & Employee Experience: Develop and champion initiatives that enhance employee engagement, belonging, and motivation.
  • Performance Management: Design and implement performance evaluation frameworks that drive accountability and professional growth.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Craft competitive rewards and benefits programs that support talent attraction and retention.
  • Training & Development: Identify training needs and implement programs that empower employees and support business growth.

What We're Looking For

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

  • 5-7 years of HR experience, ideally within startups or high-growth environments.
  • Strong understanding of the full employee lifecycle, from hiring to performance management.
  • Ability to build scalable HR systems and processes, leveraging automation where practical.
  • Experience in managing outsourced vs. in-house HR functions and vendor relationships.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Proven ability to align HR strategy with business objectives and drive organizational success.

Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience:

  • Experience implementing HRIS platforms like Rippling.
  • HR expertise across multiple regions, including Australia, Canada, the UK, and the US.
  • Experience scaling a company from Seed (<10 employees) to Series C (200+ employees).
  • Background in HR leadership within a tech-driven, fast-paced environment.
