About the Role:

The Back-End developer will handle the logic, database architecture, and API integrations of Mail Lime. They will focus on developing secure, scalable backend systems that support email automation, messaging workflows, and third-party integrations (e.g., WhatsApp API, Email Services).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain backend systems using PHP, Java, or Python.
  • Design and implement APIs to support the email and WhatsApp marketing automation features.
  • Handle database management, user authentication, and role-based permissions.
  • Integrate third-party services (e.g., WhatsApp Business API, SMTP servers, etc.).
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure smooth data flow between UI and backend systems.
  • Optimize server-side code for performance, security, and scalability.
  • Write unit and integration tests to maintain code quality.

Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in programming languages such as PHP, Java, or Python, with a deep understanding of API development and integration, including third-party APIs like WhatsApp Business and email services.
  • Knowledge of database systems such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, with experience in audience segmentation and performance tracking for data-driven campaigns.
  • Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure and their integration with multi-channel marketing platforms, including email, SMS, and WhatsApp.
  • Experience with messaging platforms like WhatsApp Business API, Twilio, and other similar systems, with a focus on marketing automation and customer support.
  • Understanding of email automation platforms such as Mailchimp, SendGrid, and Mailgun, and experience building custom email marketing solutions, including automation workflows and triggers.
  • Proven ability to handle API and webhook integrations for seamless communication between internal tools and external messaging services, enabling efficient multi-channel marketing and campaign automation.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Fluency in English, written and verbal, is a must.
