Job Overview:
As a Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development and management of our technical product roadmap. You will work closely with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that meet customer needs and drive business goals. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and strategic thinking to balance business requirements with technical constraints and deliver value to our users.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Vision: Define the technical product roadmap in alignment with company objectives. Translate business goals into clear technical deliverables and ensure the product vision is understood across teams.
Cross-functional collaboration: Act as a bridge between engineering, design, marketing, and other departments. Facilitate clear communication to ensure that all teams are aligned on product goals and priorities.
Technical Requirements & Specifications: Work closely with engineering teams to write and prioritize detailed technical requirements and product specifications. Ensure the product is feasible and scalable from a technical perspective.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Gather and analyze customer feedback, conduct user interviews, and interact with stakeholders to understand technical pain points, user needs, and market trends.
Risk & Issue Management: Identify technical risks early in the development process and propose solutions. Manage dependencies and mitigate any issues that may arise during the product development lifecycle.
Metrics & Performance: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success and continuously monitor product performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize the user experience and technical performance.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience as a Technical Product Manager or in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering technical products.
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of software development processes and technical concepts such as APIs, cloud infrastructure, databases, etc. Experience in a development or engineering role is a plus.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex technical challenges and come up with creative, scalable solutions.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
Collaboration: Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decision-making.
Agile Methodology: Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments, with a solid understanding of sprint planning, backlog management, and iterative product development.
Education: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
