Technical Lead - Java

The Technical Lead is a hands-on software engineering leader responsible for guiding a development team, ensuring alignment with the technical direction, and delivering high-quality products. This role combines technical leadership with backend and full-stack development responsibilities, with a focus on building reliable services, integrating systems, and supporting modern delivery practices in cloud and microservices environments.Roles & Responsibilities

1. Lead and coordinate a development team to ensure alignment with the technical direction
2. Ensure quality products are delivered through sound engineering practices
3. Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring/Spring Boot
4. Design and implement APIs and integrations using REST/JSON/XML and message queue concepts
5. Support microservices architecture and related integration patterns
6. Apply continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices using appropriate tools
7. Contribute to cloud-native infrastructure and DevSecOps-aligned development approaches
8. Collaborate on deployment and release activities for applications
9. Write efficient, reusable, and reliable code and support maintainability
10. Use unit testing practices to help ensure code quality and performance
11. Work with version control systems such as Git to manage and review code changes

Required Qualifications

1. Proficiency in Java and Spring/Spring Boot for backend development
2. Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL)
3. Strong understanding of API, microservices, and integration concepts (e.g., REST, JSON, XML, message queues)
4. Hands-on experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools
5. Knowledge of public cloud platforms such as AWS or Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform
6. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum processes, ceremonies, and methodologies
7. Experience writing efficient, reusable, and reliable code
8. Familiar with unit testing to ensure code quality and performance
9. Experience with version control systems like Git

Preferred Qualifications

1. Familiarity with Cloud Native Infrastructure, DevSecOps, and Microservice Architecture
2. Experience with deploying applications to App Store and Play Store
3. Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS
4. Solid foundation in backend, web, and mobile application development
