About the job Project Manager
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering technology projects that support the development, enhancement, and operations of a telehealth platform. The role partners closely with Product, Engineering, QA, UI/UX, Operations, Customer Support, and external technology partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and in alignment with healthcare, privacy, security, and quality requirements. Serving as the central coordination point across business and technology teams, the Project Manager translates business and clinical requirements into actionable project plans and drives successful implementation.Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of telehealth app projects from initiation through deployment and post-launch support.
- Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and resource requirements.
- Define project scope, objectives, success criteria, and key performance indicators.
- Manage multiple projects and prioritize activities based on business and patient impact.
- Track project progress and ensure deliverables are completed according to agreed timelines.
- Identify project risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers and drive timely resolution.
- Conduct project status meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Work with Product Managers, business stakeholders, and operations teams to understand requirements.
- Translate business requirements into clear project deliverables and actionable tasks.
- Ensure requirements are properly documented, reviewed, prioritized, and approved.
- Manage changes to scope and assess their impact on timelines, resources, and budget.
- Coordinate closely with Engineering, QA, DevOps, UI/UX, and technical support teams.
- Manage development activities across mobile applications, web applications, APIs, backend services, and third-party integrations.
- Track technical dependencies and ensure teams have the information and resources required to deliver.
- Coordinate integrations with external healthcare, payment, pharmacy, identity, messaging, and other technology providers.
- Facilitate technical discussions between business stakeholders and engineering teams.
- Work with QA teams to establish testing schedules and release readiness criteria.
- Ensure functional, integration, regression, performance, security, and user acceptance testing are completed.
- Coordinate defect management and prioritization.
- Monitor critical defects and ensure appropriate escalation and resolution.
- Coordinate UAT, production deployment, release activities, and post-release validation.
- Ensure proper documentation and approval before production releases.
- Ensure project delivery considers applicable healthcare privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Security, and Clinical teams where required.
- Ensure appropriate controls are incorporated into project requirements and delivery plans.
- Support documentation and evidence required for audits, security reviews, and compliance activities.
- Promote secure handling of patient and healthcare-related information throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage technology vendors, implementation partners, and third-party service providers.
- Coordinate project deliverables, timelines, dependencies, and responsibilities with external partners.
- Monitor vendor performance against agreed commitments and SLAs.
- Facilitate issue resolution and escalation with vendors when required.
- Review project-related documentation and deliverables submitted by partners.
- Act as the primary project communication point for stakeholders.
- Provide clear and regular reporting on project status, risks, issues, decisions, and upcoming milestones.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings and ensure action items are assigned and tracked.
- Escalate critical issues and decisions to management in a timely manner.
- Build strong working relationships across Product, Technology, Operations, Clinical, QA, Support, and business teams.
- Protect the scope and avoid scope creep.
- Coordinate post-production monitoring and stabilization activities.
- Work with L1/L2/L3 support and engineering teams to resolve production issues.
- Track recurring incidents and identify opportunities for system or process improvements.
- Coordinate enhancement roadmaps based on user feedback, operational requirements, and business priorities.
- Conduct post-project reviews and identify lessons learned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- 3–7+ years of experience in project management, preferably in technology, digital health, healthcare, SaaS, or mobile applications.
- Experience managing software development projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience working with cross-functional technology and business teams.
- Experience managing mobile and/or web application development.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and similar project management tools.
- Strong understanding of software development and QA processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with APIs, third-party integrations, cloud platforms, and application releases.
- PMP, Scrum Master, Agile, or similar certification.
