Overview:
Build and enhance high-performance Android applications for digital banking, creating smooth, scalable, and user-focused mobile experiences.
What This Role Feels Like Your day is centered around building and improving Android features that real users interact with. You'll collaborate closely with UX designers to turn UI concepts into functional mobile experiences, while working with engineers to ensure performance and stability. Some days are focused on developing new features, while others involve optimizing existing ones or fixing complex issues. It's a hands-on role where your work directly shapes the user experience of a banking app.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance Android applications using Kotlin and Java
- Translate user stories into functional mobile features
- Design and build high-quality, responsive UI components
- Collaborate with UX designers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Identify and fix bugs, bottlenecks, and performance issues
- Write and maintain unit tests and support automation efforts
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment and contribute to sprint delivery
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
- Must have experience in Android development using Kotlin and/or Java
- Strong understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and UI components
- Experience building high-performance, scalable mobile applications
- Strong knowledge of mobile performance optimization (memory, speed, networking)
- Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and system integration
- Familiarity with Firebase, CI/CD tools, or Fastlane
- Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with ability to learn and adapt quickly
Preferred Qualifications
- Has a background on backend and web application development
- Experience working with advanced UI concepts
- Experience in Cloud Native Infrastructure, DevSecOps, and Microservice Architecture
