The Scrum Master plays a crucial role in guiding Agile teams to deliver high-quality products by facilitating Scrum processes and removing impediments. This role requires a servant-leader mindset, ensuring the team follows Agile principles while fostering collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement. The Scrum Master acts as a bridge between the team, Product Owner, and stakeholders, driving efficiency and alignment across all project stages.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Support the team in adopting and improving Agile/Scrum practices, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Identify and remove impediments to maintain team productivity and flow.
  • Track team capacity, velocity, and other Agile metrics to support planning and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate backlog refinement and ensure sprint commitments are achievable.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to manage product roadmaps, sprint releases, and backlog prioritization.
  • Act as the primary communication link between the team, Product Owner, and stakeholders.
  • Promote a safe, transparent, and trusting team environment where open feedback is encouraged.
  • Resolve conflicts and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with external teams, partners, and vendors to align delivery expectations.
  • Monitor sprint progress and ensure timely delivery of features according to the release schedule.
  • Raise resource-related concerns and performance issues to leadership when necessary.
  • Maintain documentation of Agile practices, team performance, and sprint outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master or similar Agile delivery role.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and Agile delivery practices.
  • Experience using Agile project management tools like Jira, Confluence, or equivalent.
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remove blockers efficiently.
  • Experience coordinating with external teams, partners, and vendors is a plus.
