About the job Telephony Engineer

The Telephony Engineer is responsible for the support, maintenance, and development of the Banks telephony and mobility systems. This includes resolving technical issues, coordinating with telco providers, analyzing operational costs, and ensuring seamless integration of communication tools. The Senior role assumes greater ownership of infrastructure oversight, system optimization, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for telephony and mobility systems.

  • Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of telephony infrastructure and tools.

  • Coordinate with telecom providers for service delivery, troubleshooting, and system upgrades.

  • Analyze the financial and operational impact of telephony and mobility services.

  • Support the development of telephone call flows and integration with internal systems.

  • Facilitate API integration between telephony platforms and other banking systems.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tools such as Microsoft, WebSphere, Eclipse, NetBeans, Postman, Aspect, Twilio, Cisco, Zoom Phone, Cloud PABX, and Intune (or similar platforms).

  • Prepare and maintain documentation of telephony systems, including process flows and incident records.

  • Promote design thinking in problem-solving and process enhancement.

  • Foster teamwork and provide knowledge-sharing and training when needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience managing telephony systems

  • Familiar with call flow development and telephony infrastructure

  • Basic understanding of financial analysis and budgeting

  • Working knowledge of API development and integration
