The SecOps Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, maintenance, and security of the organizations server infrastructure. This role ensures high availability, performance, and reliability of server systems while leading a team of administrators. The ideal candidate has a strong background in IT, computer science, or software engineering, and thrives in a solutions-driven, process-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the administration, configuration, and optimization of on-premises and cloud-based server environments.
- Develop and enforce server policies, security standards, and best practices.
- Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions.
- Manage server patching, updates, and lifecycle management.
- Oversee backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain server security measures.
- Automate routine tasks using tools such as Terraform to improve efficiency.
- Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and security protocols.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in security operations, systems support, or server administration.
- Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux server administration and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and Alibaba.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and server security principles.
- Experience developing patching schedules and automation scripts for efficient update deployment.
- Proficiency with automation tools such as Terraform is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
