The Delivery Lead manages the end-to-end delivery of the bank's digital programs and projects, ensuring they are completed on time, on scope, and on budget. Working closely with Business Enabling Teams, the role provides governance and thought leadership to align delivery with the bank's strategic goals and to improve customer experience through effective project management.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead overall delivery management for projects within the managed portfolio
- Define and finalize project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with business units and stakeholders
- Create and manage detailed project execution timelines, ensuring resource alignment
- Optimize resource utilization to deliver project activities within required timeframes and quality standards
- Coach, mentor, and supervise project team members to foster accountability and positive action
- Provide project status updates to the project team at an agreed frequency
- Clear blockers for SMEs to enhance performance and delivery
- Facilitate learning through post-mortem and sprint retrospective sessions
- Review technical designs provided by the Solutions Architect with the technical delivery team
- Identify, monitor, and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and action plans
- Monitor and manage project expenses to ensure adherence to cost baselines
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths
- Establish and ensure appropriate governance functions for the program
- Proactively manage changes in project scope and devise contingency plans
- Ensure implemented solutions align with the Solutions Architect's design and Enterprise Architecture
Required Qualifications
- 5 years in the IT industry or related field
- Scrum, PMP, and IT training
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture principles
- Experience with Agile methodologies beyond Scrum
- Experience coaching and mentoring project teams
- Ability to influence and consult effectively with stakeholders
- Familiarity with risk management frameworks
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Strong accountability and adaptability skills
