Associate Investor

Job Description: We are hiring an Associate to join our investment team to primarily focused on Series A, Series B and growth opportunities for the firm. This individual should have a technical skillset and mindset, paired with attention to detail and the capability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people both internally and externally. The successful candidate will be a smart, resourceful, outgoing, self-starter with a proven ability to conduct rigorous due diligence and proactively find and attract the best investment opportunities globally. In addition to diligence and deal sourcing, the Associate will also be expected to support the Funds thesis development work through sector deep dives and provide value to our portfolio companies and strategic limited partners.
Responsibilities:
- Deal Sourcing: Leverage existing network and establish new relationships with founders/CEOs, investors and industry experts. Know how to identify winning technology & teams
- Due Diligence: Prepare thoughtful and rigorous analysis of prospective fund investments, including sector, financial, founder analysis
- Sector Deep Dives: Prepare sector deep dives on emerging areas of interest including general research, market sizing, competitive analysis to help inform investment theses
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated passion for entrepreneurship and early- to growth-stage startups in non-traditional technology sectors like industrials, supply chain, logistics, energy, climate, transportation, built environment, and other physical industries.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of prior work experience in relevant functions including finance (banking, private equity); strategy (consulting, corporate/startup strategy); or relevant startup experience.
- Bachelors Degree from a top-tier institution and/or with excellent academic performance.
- Must demonstrate a high-level of achievement in terms of financial analysis, due diligence, analytical skills, attention to detail and organization.
- Strong emotional intelligence and a demonstrated passion for building relationships, networking and discovering new startups.
- Displays deep curiosity for impacting climate change, manufacturing, mobility and frontline work through innovation.
- Key attributes: Extremely detail and process-oriented, intellectually curious, organized, funny, humble, high EQ, kind, competitive, and a team-first attitude.
Partner Track: Multi-year Associate role with possibility of promotion based on individual performance and future fund plans; not a guaranteed Partner track role
Compensation: Competitive salary with an annual bonus based on performance. Expected base salary range of $150k - $180k.
