About the Job:
We are looking for ServiceNow Developers to join our client's team. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing and overseeing ServiceNow environments, including development, integration, maintenance, and operations. The role requires expertise in ServiceNow system development and administration, particularly in ITSM/ITOM modules within a cloud-based environment. Key responsibilities include administering ServiceNow instances, configuring and developing modules, and implementing client scripts, UI actions, ACLs, business rules, and workflows. The position demands strong technical skills, customer service, multitasking, and teamwork while ensuring adherence to best practices and business requirements.
- Manage code repository and branching strategy for ServiceNow update sets
- Provide code review for update sets proposed for promotion to higher environments
- Manage application of code between environments (Dev to QA, etc.)
- Coordinate regular environment refreshes to ensure the ServiceNow environment remains healthy
- Create and maintain system design and procedural documentation supporting the management of the platform
- Coordinate testing and timely implementation of system updates/features
- Manage application configuration and documentation
- Support the configuration/development of all ServiceNow modules
- Integrate ServiceNow with other systems (for discovery of assets, user access via LDAP, auto-creation of Incidents via Event Management Systems, etc.)
- Track, prioritize, and implement (configure/test/deploy) enhancement requests and defect corrections, while leveraging formal Change Management processes
- Drive compliance with IT Service Management standards and policies
- Maintenance and continuous improvement of the processes, standards, policies, working methods, and tools
- Partner with Platform Stakeholders to document, communicate and continually improve the processes and policies that describe the use and administration of the ServiceNow platform and applications
- Implement CMDB, specifically identify CIs (Manual / discovery), create and/or validate relationships, implement APIs for CI feeds into the DB, CMDB audits, conflict management of CMDB data, etc.
- Attend daily SCRUM calls and provide daily documentation on assigned SCRUM cards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of ServiceNow System Administration/Developer experience in an enterprise environment
- 5+ years of ServiceNow ITSM/ITBM/ITOM experience preferred
- 5+ years of ServiceNow CMDB/Discovery preferred
- Knowledge and experience of JavaScript / HTML / CSS / AJAX/ Angular/ Bootstrap / Jelly Script
- ServiceNow implementation experience in ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB & Asset)
- ServiceNow Systems Administrator Certification preferred
- ITOM, Sec Ops, and CSM experience also a plus
- Thorough understanding of ITIL/ITSM processes
- Experience in implementing ServiceNow processes and functions
- Understanding and experience with agile software development methodologies
- Knowledge in ServiceNow starting with the Geneva release, up to Madrid and New York is a big plus
- Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Can start immediately if possible
