I. Job Description

The Account Officer is responsible for driving loan sales, managing customer relationships, and ensuring the efficient processing of loan applications. This role involves promoting loan products, assessing customer needs, providing tailored financial solutions, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirement and managing the loan application process from start to finish. 

By effectively promoting loan products, providing excellent customer service, and managing the loan application process, the Account Officer plays a crucial role in driving the banks loan business and ensuring customer satisfaction.

II. Duties and Responsibilities
A. Sales and Business Development:
1. Promote and sell various loan products, including but not limited to SME
Loans, personal loans, corporate salary loans, auto loans and home loans.
2. Identify and develop new business opportunities by targeting potential
customers through marketing campaigns, networking and referrals.
3. Achieve and exceed sales targets and performance metrics on a monthly
basis
B. Customer Service:
1. Provide high-quality customer service by understanding customer needs and
offering appropriate loan solutions.
2. Assist customers through the loan application process, ensuring a smooth
and efficient experience. Applications are collected and handed over within
the cut offs and SLAs and rework kept to minimum as per KPI
3. Address customer inquiries, resolve issues and provide timely follow up.
Ensures all complaints are logged with Complaints unit.
C. Loan Application and Processing:
1. Assist customers in completing loan applications, ensuring all necessary
documentation is collected and accurate.
2. Conduct initial assessments of loan application to determine eligibility and
creditworthiness.
3. Coordinate with underwriting and credit departments to facilitate the approval
process.
D. Compliance and Risk Management:
1. Ensure all loan applications and transactions comply with regulatory
requirements and internal policies.
2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all loan transactions and
customer interactions.
3. Conduct regular reviews to identify and mitigate potential risks.
E. Relationship Management:
1. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted
advisor for their financial needs.
2. Develop relationships with referral sources to generate leads.
3. Provide ongoing support and guidance to customers post loan approval.
4. efforts to achieve sales targets and profitability goals.
F. Market and Product Knowledge:
1. Stay informed about the latest loan products, interest rates, and industry
trends.
2. Provide customers with accurate and up-to-date information about loan
products and terms,
3. Participate in training programs to enhance product knowledge and sales
skills.
.G. Reporting and Analysis:
1. Prepare regular reports on sales activities, loan applications, and customer
interactions.
2. Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
3. Provide feedback to management on market conditions and customer needs.


III. Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in business administration, finance or related field.
2. Previous experience in loan sales, banking or related financial services role.
3. Strong knowledge of loan products, credit analysis and financial regulations.
4. Proven sales track record and ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
