Purpose
Analyzes business needs, translates requirements or processes into a documentation that will be used for system development and acts as bridge between development and business unit during implementation and roll-out
Role and Responsibilities
● Leads the requirements gathering / elicitation process documenting the output in diagrams, flow chart, use cases, pseudo-code or other forms as appropriate
● Creates project brief to detail requirement scope that will be used as basis of estimates to develop or enhance systems and/or operational changes and workflows
● Documents as-is and to-be business functions and processes, including business needs and objectives, inputs and outputs, required permission sets, etc.
● Acts as a requirement liaison between end-users, management and development team, consultants, project teams, and other entities as initiatives migrate through phases from ideation via implementation to actual roll-out
● Identifies opportunities to improve business processes through technology, system, and non-system driven changes
● Represents the customer's functional solution requirements to all applicable stakeholders
● Develops and fosters collaborative working relationships with all parties
● Successful candidate must be self-directed, engaged, and follow through on commitments.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
● Minimum of 5 years’+ experience in similar and/or technology industry
● At least 3 years working experiences to be a business or systems analyst
● Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), in a technical subject
Preferred Skills
● Excellent written and verbal communication, including functional document writing
● Basic software development experience
● Min. 2 years of experience working for a smaller product company (not only outsourcing or big corporate)
● Understanding of systems development concepts
● Knowledge of Business Case development.
● Experience on various SDLC environment – Waterfall, Agile and Scrum development
● Knowledge on BABOK
● Detail and results oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
● Hands-on, self-starter who is capable and willing to learn and grow with the business
● Experience with collaborative team software tools (Confluence, JIRA, Sharepoint)
● Work independently on complex strategic projects
● Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
