Responsibilities
Execute complex welds using MIG, TIG, and Stick procedures on steel assemblies, stainless steel, aluminium, and copper.
Fabricate and repair high-heat metal structures, pressurised vessels, and industrial tanks using specialized plasma arc and inert gas processes.
Identify and seal enclosure leaks and perform structural repairs with surgical accuracy.
Interpret and execute intricate engineering blueprints and schematics with zero margin for error.
Conduct rigorous post-weld inspections and testing to identify and resolve structural flaws before final assembly.
Handle all surface prep for tanks prior to the coating/painting phase and dismantle existing transformer covers as required.
Safely operate overhead cranes, grinders, and various power tools, ensuring all pre-operational safety checks are documented.
Audit finished parts for accuracy, report fabrication hurdles to management, and assist in engineering resolutions.
Qualifications
Successful completion of an accredited Trade School program.
A minimum of 5+ years of professional welding experience, ideally within a heavy manufacturing or pressurized vessel environment.
Active CWB and TSSA certifications are preferred.
Expert-level ability to read and analyze engineering drawings.
Deep understanding of provincial safety standards and a commitment to maintaining a hazard-free workspace.
