Project

Were looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with deep hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot to design, build, and scale high‑availability backend services. Youll work with microservices architecture, cloud platforms (GCP/AWS), Kubernetes, and RESTful APIs, in an agile environment focused on quality, performance, and continuous delivery.

Role

• Design and implement backend services in Java using Spring Boot (including Spring Data, Spring Security, Spring WebFlux).
• Define and evolve microservices architecture ensuring resilience, observability (logs/metrics/tracing), and fault tolerance.
• Build and maintain robust, versioned REST APIs with clear documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger).
• Orchestrate and scale services on Kubernetes (deployments, services, ingress, config/secrets).
• Leverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS) managed services (compute, storage, messaging, functions/ jobs/ schedulers).
• Integrate with SQL (and, where relevant, NoSQL) databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Work in Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban): refinement, planning, code reviews, pair programming, continuous improvement.
• Uphold engineering excellence: testing (unit/integration/contract), security, performance, reliability.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using Docker and modern build tools.
• Mentor mid-level/junior engineers and foster knowledge sharing across the team.

We are looking for

• 5+ years of backend development experience with Java and strong hands-on work with Spring Boot.
• Proven experience with GCP or AWS and their related services (e.g., Cloud Run/EKS, Pub/Sub/SQS, Cloud Functions/Lambda, Cloud Scheduler/EventBridge).
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture (service boundaries, communication patterns, idempotency, circuit breakers, service discovery).
• Experience with Kubernetes operations in production.
• Strong experience in API design and RESTful services (pagination, authentication/authorization, versioning, error handling).
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Experience with reactive Java using Mono/Flux (Project Reactor) and Spring WebFlux.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
