Project

We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead with a strong Backend Engineering background to guide and develop high‑performing engineering teams. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise, proven experience in leading teams working on distributed systems, and the ability to manage delivery, people, and stakeholders in a remote or hybrid environment.

This role requires a balance of hands‑on technical involvement and strategic leadership, ensuring both the quality of technical solutions and the growth of the team.

Role

• Technically lead engineering teams and ensure good development practices.
• Define and guide the architecture of large-scale distributed systems.
• Monitor team performance, development and motivation.
• Plan and monitor deliveries, dependencies and risks.
• Manage stakeholders, align expectations and resolve conflicts.
• Collaborate with teams distributed across multiple time zones.
• Fluent English, Portuguese is not required.

We are looking for

• Experience with backend development (5+ years) using Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience leading technical teams in complex/distributed environments.
• Experience with systems design with a level of rigor equivalent to Amazon/Google.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP and/or AWS).
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with performance management, career development and leadership in remote/hybrid setups.
• Experience with project management (planning, dependencies, risks).
• Experience with stakeholder management (directors, business team, conflict resolution).
• Experience with remote collaboration across multiple time zones.
