WellTech Partners is working with an Alcohol and Drug Rehab Center that is looking for a Clinical Therapist to join their team. This opportunity is based in an outpatient behavioral health setting (PHP/IOP), supporting individuals navigating substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders through a whole-person, evidence-based approach.
Certifications & Licensure
- Must hold a valid State of Virginia licensure or credential allowing for independent practice in drug and alcohol counseling

Must have 2+ years post-licensure experience treating substance abuse, mental health, and co-occurring disorders
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $85,000 – $100,000 (based on experience)

Position Overview
The Clinical Therapist works collaboratively with clients to develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans. This role focuses on supporting recovery through evidence-based and person-centered practices, while addressing co-occurring disorders, family systems, and behavioral health needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health, substance use, and readiness for treatment
- Facilitate daily group therapy sessions
- Complete clinical documentation and case notes same day as service delivery
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, goals, and objectives
- Support and educate clients on medication-assisted treatment (MAT) options
- Collaborate with medical, psychiatric, and clinical teams
- Work with clients to identify triggers and behaviors impacting recovery
- Provide family education and support around addiction and behavioral health
- Assist with case management, including referrals to community resources and employment support
- Perform additional duties as needed to support patient care
Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ years post-licensure experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment
- Experience working with dual diagnosis patients
- Knowledge of medication-assisted treatment (MAT)
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
- Cultural competency and ability to work with diverse populations
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards
