WellTech Partners is working with an Alcohol and Drug Rehab Center that is looking for a Clinical Therapist to join their team. Certifications & Licensure (Required / Preferred)

  • Must hold a valid State of Maryland licensure or credential allowing practice in drug and alcohol counseling:
    • CAC-AD, CSC-AD, LGADC, LCADC, LGPC, LCPC, LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-C
  • Preferred: LCPC, LCADC, or LCSW-C

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday
  • Two available shifts:
    • 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
    • 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $70,000 - $100,000(based on experience)

Position Overview

The Clinical Therapist / Counselor is responsible for developing and coordinating individualized treatment plans for patients in a residential substance use treatment setting. This role focuses on supporting recovery through evidence-based and person-centered practices, while addressing co-occurring disorders and family systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health, substance use, and readiness for treatment
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including support for medication-assisted treatment (MAT)
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical and psychiatric providers
  • Partner with patients and families to review treatment options and support aftercare planning
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions
  • Help patients identify triggers and develop coping strategies for recovery
  • Educate families on addiction and behavioral health conditions
  • Coordinate referrals to external resources such as support groups and community services
  • Participate in outreach and education initiatives as needed

Qualifications & Experience

  • 1–3+ years of experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment
  • Experience working with dual diagnosis patients
  • Knowledge of medication-assisted treatment (MAT)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Cultural competency and ability to work with diverse populations
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards
