The morning starts at thirty-two thousand feet in an aircraft gallery lightweighting an oven manifold using advanced engineering plastics.

This afternoon is beneath the waves of the North Sea, ensuring the IR levels in the umbilical control cables connecting the topside to the subsea infrastructure are high enough so the asset is fully functional. Tomorrow morning will be spent designing a cable stayed bridge over the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, then its off to the sugarcane plantations of Colombia for the rest of the day.

You'll be teaching yourself about subjects, markets and brands you never even knew existed, yet many underpin modern society. So, you need to be a knowledge junkie with a passion for researching and learning new stuff and then writing about it, credibly. And credibility means you must have a science or engineering degree to at least bachelor level.

So to clarify, you should be a Copywriter in the B2B space with a degree in science or engineering capable of producing expert insightful industry pieces. Whether you call yourself a Copywriter / B2B Copywriter / Technical Writer / Technical Copywriter / Senior Copywriter / STEM Writer or similar, we don't mind you, you just need to be a curious type with a CV that demonstrates the following:

  • A strong background as a Copywriter within the B2B space;
  • An excellent command of English, grammar and attention to detail;
  • A degree in a science or engineering discipline;
  • The ability to quickly educate yourself about new markets and technical subjects to an advanced level;
  • Broad experience of copywriting from feature articles and blogs to whitepapers and social media content.
  • A track record of working on campaigns and content related to sectors such as engineering and construction, industrial and process industries, energy, oil and gas/marine/offshore, aerospace/automotive, chemicals industrial food and beverage and agriculture, tech and ICT, and professional services.
