Job Description:

As the Power Platform Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of Microsoft-centric tools including Microsoft Power Platform solutions. This includes Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents. The Solutions Architect will work with business users to understand their needs and design solutions that meet those needs. They will also work with developers to implement the solutions and ensure that they are properly tested and deployed. The Solutions Architect will also be responsible for providing support to users of the Power Platform solutions. This role will also play a key role in business requirements gathering and documentation efforts and collaborate with application architects and colleagues to create and review optimal architectural and technical designs adhering to best practices in scalability, reliability, and performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive Power Platform implementations through all project phases including discovery, definition, build, test and deploy
  • Serve as clients' main point of contact throughout all project phases, effectively manage associated issues and risks and ensure on-time and on-budget implementation delivery that meets clients' needs and requirements.
  • Identify the client's business requirements through discovery meetings
  • Design and lead the system architecture process, in partnership with the Development Team, to create, define specifications for and implement customizations for any custom code
  • Conduct end-user training and create and maintain knowledge transfer documentation
  • Develop and continue to refine Power Platform standards and tools
  • Present tailored demonstrations of the technology solution


Required Qualifications
5+ years experience in Solution Architecture.

  • At least 3 years of experience in Microsofts Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents), .NET development, SharePoint Online (or other document management solutions), and Teams.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server or other relational database management systems, including work on database architectures and databases that power enterprise solutions.
  • Experience of version-control systems, e.g., GitHub / Azure DevOps
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools and best practices including CI/CD pipelines, containers, cloud, automation, security, configuration management, CI/CD; Azure DevOps experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and a strong foundational knowledge of the Office 365 platform including the Microsoft Graph, Azure AD, and the Azure ecosystem

Anticipates and prevents problems and roadblocks before they occur

Excellent oral and written communications skills; ability to interact effectively with all levels within the organization

  • Hands-on experience and knowledge of best practices modern application development techniques including public cloud experience (AZURE)
  • Power platform solution architect expert (pl-600) is a big plus


Education
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Math, or related field
