Windhoek Consulting Engineers (WCE) is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for overseeing the financial processes of assigned entities, managing creditors and debtors, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring compliance with IFRS standards and Namibian tax regulations.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering timely, accurate financial reporting and contributing to operational efficiency and sound financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly accounts, management reports, and financial statements.
  
• Reconcile balance sheets, intercompany accounts, and manage year-end packs.
  
• Submit statutory tax returns (VAT, PAYE, WHT) and ensure full compliance.
  
• Oversee purchase orders, supplier payments, and petty cash transactions.
  
• Manage debtor invoicing, follow-ups, and collections.
  
• Reconcile bank transactions and prepare monthly cash flow forecasts.
  
• Support policy development, audits, and provide ad hoc finance assistance.

What We're Looking For:
Qualifications:

• Degree in Financial Accounting or equivalent

• Minimum 3 years accounting experience

• Knowledge of IFRS for SMEs and Namibian tax legislation

• Advanced Excel skills

• Experience with ProMan is an added advantage
