Today, we’re a team of 50+ incredibly driven and passionate people in the region, and we are looking for a Compliance Senior Associate to join our team.
As the Senior Associate - Compliance, you are primarily responsible for regulatory obligations, as well as developing and executing strategies for risk management. The scope of this role extends from the fund manager to its various fund strategies.
What you’ll do
- Regulatory Compliance
Develop, implement and review compliance policies and procedures in accordance with MAS regulatory requirements.
Conduct investigations to discover the root cause of compliance problems when they arise and implement solutions to mitigate future risk
Assess and analyse the regulatory and legislative environment to identify emerging issues and upcoming changes
Keep abreast of the latest regulatory development and provide guidance on the implication and necessary actions for compliance with new regulations
- Policy Development
Develop, review and roll out risk and compliance policies and procedures in accordance to regulatory requirements
- Risk Management
Develop risk management policies and conduct annual assessment
Assess and manage risks associated with operations in the fund manager and its fund strategies.
- Audit and Assessment
Manage external and internal audits and assessments
Perform periodic reviews to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls measures of the Company
Who you are
You are an experienced Compliance Officer with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role having worked with a CMS licensed entity
You have experienced in Cayman Islands regulatory regime is a plus
You have working knowledge of the MAS (LFMC/VCFM) requirements
You are meticulous and detail oriented is one of your top strengths
You have a structured thinker with strong ability to make data driven decisions
You are an approachable and personable individual who can genuine relationships easily
You have the ability to multitask, with the ability to plan, organize and prioritize well.
You are a logical thinker with a knack for solving problems
You have the ability to maintain your poise and work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced and high pressure environment
