About the job Legal Counsel
Overview
This role requires you to support dealmaking, funds formation, troubleshooting and myriad other responsibilities expected of a junior legal counsel, while positioning you for growth.
You will get to operate with high trust, independence, and ownership of your work, while enabled with advice and support from your legal team members and other colleagues.
Your responsibilities
- Support the structuring, negotiation and execution of equity and debt venture capital investment deals
- Support the negotiation and execution of offshore funds formation (Caymans limited partnerships, Singapore VCCs)
- Support the resolution of legal issues relating to portfolio companies (e.g. reserved matters, exits, ESOPs)
- Research identified issues and provide a sound, thorough first level analysis
- Develop legal team assets (i.e. playbook, processes, internal guides)
- Support internal legal needs in various areas as and where required (e.g. NDAs, employment, intellectual property management, contracts)
Your background
- Bachelors degree in law and qualified to practice law in at least one of the following jurisdictions: Singapore, England and Wales, Hong Kong, Australia
- At least 2 years of legal work experience in a reputable law firm (any practice area)
