About the role: The Scientific Leader will be responsible for driving innovative research and development initiatives aimed at understanding and treating Type 1 Diabetes. This role requires a deep understanding of immunology, metabolic health, and clinical practices related to diabetes management. The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, collaborate with external partners, and contribute to the strategic direction of T1D research programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate the formation of a research group dedicated to advancing knowledge and treatment options for type 1 diabetes
- Merge findings from fundamental research and cellular physiology into a competitive program aimed at curing type 1 diabetes.
- Create and execute strategic plans that align program goals with the overarching objectives of the organization.
- Take responsibility for the comprehensive planning, implementation, and assessment of scientific programs and projects. This includes setting clear objectives, timelines, and performance metrics to evaluate success.
- Guarantee that all research programs adhere to applicable regulations, ethical standards, and best practices in scientific research.
Profile:
- Background in cell biology or molecular biology (Type 1 diabetes experience will be beneficial)
- Strong leadership abilities with experience managing interdisciplinary teams. in the field of molecular biology or immunology.
- Industry experience and willingness to maintain contacts to further research.
