About the role: You will collaborate as a strategic partner with colleagues in Oncology and Diabetes Discovery Research. You will adopt rigorous data analysis procedures, link resources with scientific priorities, and mentor and promote junior team members. You will work in a collaborative environment with colleagues from different locations and within the scientific community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with scientists, physicians and other researchers to develop studies for cancer and autoimmune disease targets, from discovery to clinical trials.
  • Develop a strategy and procedure to evaluate therapeutic targets and precision biomarkers based on genetics, metabolomics, and causative disease biology, using public and proprietary resources.
  • Provide guidance to junior scientists or interns in computational methods and data analysis techniques.
  •  Effectively convey results to project teams, internal and external scientific communities through internal documentation, presentations, and publications in prominent journals.

Profile:

  • PhD (5 years minimum experience of research in academia/pharma)
  • Strong background integrating genetics, metabolomics and molecular data to understand disease mechanisms.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R; experience with statistical analysis software is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
