About the role: A pathologist who specialises in biomarkers is essential for cancer diagnosis and treatment. This work entails analysing tumour samples to find particular biomarkers that might help guide treatment decisions, track disease development, and forecast patient outcomes. The pathologist will collaborate closely with oncologists, researchers, and laboratory personnel to guarantee precise diagnoses and appropriate treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer scientific knowledge in identifying and developing cutting-edge cancer pathology biomarkers for early clinical use.
  • As the primary point of contact for Pathology concerns with the sponsors, providing project and delivery updates.
  • Utilise histopathological techniques such as in-situ hybridisation, multiplex assays and immunohistochemistry to identify cancer-related biomarkers.
  • Collaborate with pathologists, technicians, and oncologists to review findings and implications for client satisfaction.
  • Offer guidance on operational management to enhance the pathology group's efficiency and image, including computerisation and publishing.

Profile:

  • MD, Phd, DVM or certified pathologist
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clinical team
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Digital Pathology experience (preferred)
