We are seeking a detail-oriented and deadline-driven Human Capital Processor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and processing the weekly payroll for permanent employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and Bargaining Council regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing (Wage Keep & VIP):

  • Ensure successful upload and processing of hours from Jarrison to Wage Keep

  • Accurately process normal and overtime hours; query and escalate unauthorised entries

  • Process all relevant allowances (sleep-out, nightshift, crane, dangerous goods, etc.)

  • Handle wage input for AODs, garnishees, fines, and union deductions

  • Finalise payroll in Wage Keep and upload hours into VIP for payment

  • Ensure negative net salaries are resolved before pay run

  • Print and distribute payslips weekly and maintain payroll filing

Leave Processing:

  • Process leave on VIP and NBCRFLI systems weekly

  • Ensure proper documentation and follow-up on rejected or outstanding applications

  • Apply for sick leave bonuses and manage December/January leave cut-offs

Council Submissions:

  • Submit NBCRFLI online return by the 7th of every month

Administrative Support:

  • Provide confirmations for work, uniforms, and assets

  • Maintain clear and accurate filing systems in collaboration with the Wages Filing Clerk

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate

  • Completed VIP Payroll Course

  • Minimum of 3 years experience handling wages

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in VIP Payroll, MS Excel & Word

  • Solid understanding of administrative and payroll procedures

  • Familiarity with NBCRFLI and Bargaining Council rules
